Don't even THINK about taking that cupcake!

Well, as Friday rolls around and I look back at the week, all I can remember is how many cupcakes I've had this week! My friend Leigh made funfetti cupcakes and brought Mark and I eight cupcakes. I immediately ate one, and put the rest into containers for the week. When I woke up the next morning and walked into the kitchen, a WHOLE CONTAINER was gone of cupcakes! I knew immediately that Mark had taken a whole container to work to keep them away from me. Well that wasn't going to fly folks. I told him he better bring three out of those four cupcakes home that night (I was nice and let him have one).

So that night I sat down to have a glass of milk and a cupcake, and Mark decided to tell me I could only have one. I'm not sure if he thought he was the boss of me or what, but I was quick to prove him wrong. As he stood up to go to the kitchen, I lurched at the container of cupcakes and we wrestled over it until I yanked that cupcake out and shoved the whole thing in my mouth! :)

So Mark learned his lesson- DO NOT GET IN BETWEEN ME AND A CUPCAKE! And I learned my lesson- eating two cupcakes a day for a whole week is not good for the diet, but it sure is good for the soul :)

Have a great weekend!

Toothbrush Wars

I like medium bristles, Mark likes soft. I like simple, Mark likes the high-tech. I wanted pink, and Mark wanted grey. I wanted to just get a two pack, because we live together now and I thought it was cute that we could buy a two pack of toothbrushes. Did we? NOPE! Mark and I are very specific on our toothbrush selection I have learned, as we both picked up and inspected every toothbrush down the aisle at Walmart :) So as I left the with my medium, simple pink toothbrush, and Mark had his grey high tech soft bristles, I realized something.... WE ARE FREAKS!

Day One

Well folks, Hurricane Mark has entered my apartment! As I sit here at my desk, he is back at home moving all his junk in. This whole blog stems from my experience at lunch.

I went home for lunch to see my sweet little fiance, and as I open the door, I see golf clubs laying out all over the living room, ziploc bags of receipts all over the counter, golf shoes in the kitchen, towels hanging over every door, clothes PACKED into the closet, and there stands Mark with a big smile on his face.

Looks like I'm going to have to teach him the art of organization :)

But even though I look around and it about causes a mini heart attack, I can't help but be so happy he is here. After being in separate cities for 5 years this is a much needed break we both need! It's going to be an interesting summer... hope you all get a few laughs as we take our journey :)
